Any subject, any medium. The artwork to be no larger than 13cmx18cm (or 234sq cm or 62cm when all dimensions are added together), excluding frames i.e. approximately 5″x7″ or 35sq in or 24″. Subject must be miniaturised as per ruling of International Miniaturist Societies

All entries in all sections are eligible for the Woollam Art on Show Award. The winner is then precluded from winning any other section.
To be eligible for the Artists’ Book Award entrants must submit images online or a CD rom containing up to 2 images of entered work, together with entry form and fee. Entry form must contain dimensions of Artists’ Book (fully opened). Images must be less than 2mb each, saved as jpegs and able to be opened on PC format. (All CD`s will be retained by AOS).
Entry fee, together with completed entry form either (online or hard copy), must be received by 12.00noon Friday 25 June 2021. Late entries cannot be accepted.
Appropriately labeled artwork must be received by 4.00pm Friday 30 July 2021 for assessment by the preview panel. All works will be exhibited unless notified. Late entries cannot be accepted.
All works must be original unaided work of the entrant and created during the last 2 years prior to June 2021
Workshop projects, commercially produced kits, designs etc, works that have won major awards are not eligible.
The Mackay Show Association reserves the right to reproduce entries for publicity, catalogue & archival purposes in association with the Awards.
The Mackay Show Association exercises all due care in exhibiting & handling entries, but works shall at all times remain at the risk of the entrant. No liability for any loss or damage: either in transit or while in custody of the Mackay Show Association will be accepted.
All entries must be suitably prepared for display with “D” rings & wire securely attached 10cm from top of frame for larger works & 5cm for smaller works. Artists’ Book must include installation instructions, and supply cradle/ rest or mount if required. Maximum dimensions of works (with the exception of Miniatures and Artists’ Book – see the individual entry sections of this form) will not exceed 1 square metre, excluding frames. Final decisions for display lay with Art on Show management.
All entries must be for sale, no works to be removed during the exhibition. The Mackay Show Association will act as sales agents. All works sold will attract a 25% commission; GST where applicable will be added to the listed price of work at the time of sale. When possible, entrants will be promptly advised of sales. and must provide bank account details on entry application, for payment of sold works.
Arrangement & expenses pertaining to the delivery and collection of entries are the responsibility of the entrant. All works must be delivered to and collected from the Mackay Show Association office.
Return freight must be pre-paid. Consignment notes, pre-paid vouchers or postage stamps etc. must be enclosed with entry form All works must have the label included in this entry form, completed in full and attached to back of work for easy identification.
Entries must be adequately packed on arrival, in cardboard or bubble wrap, suitable for re use for return of works.
All entry forms & fees either (online or hard copy), by (12.00noon Friday 25 June 2021). All works by (4.00pm Friday 30 July 2021) should be addressed and delivered to: Art on Show Awards Mackay Show Association Showground Office, 24 Milton Street MACKAY QLD 4740. All works will be viewed by the judge and preview panel, and will be exhibited unless notified. The Judge’s decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered.
